Al-Hijjr 6 of 6
And the people of the Hijr (rocks) denied the Noble Messengers. 80 for We did vouchsafe them Our messages, but they obstinately turned their backs upon them 81 And they used to carve dwellings in the hills, without fear. 82 So the rumbling overtook them in the morning; 83 Out of what they had gained, nothing proved to be of any benefit to them. 84 We have not created but with reason the heavens and the earth and all that lies within them. The Hour (of the great change) is certain to come. So turn away (from them) with a grace. 85 Surely your Lord is the Creator and knows (everything). 86 And assuredly We have vouchsafed unto thee seven of the repetitions and the mighty Qur'an. 87 Do not strain your eyes towards the worldly benefits We have bestowed on some of them, nor grieve on their account. Lower your wing of mercy for the believers 88 And say: "I am a distinct warner," 89 (We have given you the Quran) as We had given (the Bible) to those who divided themselves into groups 90 Those who have made the scripture bits. 91 By thy Lord, We will question them all. 92 About what they used to do. 93 Then declare what you are commanded and turn away from the polytheists. 94 Indeed We suffice you against these mockers. 95 even against those who set up with God another god. Certainly they will soon know! 96 And indeed We know that you are disheartened by their speech. 97 but extol thou thy Sustainer's limitless glory and praise Him, and be of those who prostrate themselves [before Him] in adoration, 98 Worship your Lord until you achieve the ultimate certainty. 99

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
