And when your Lord called out to Musa, saying: Go to the unjust people, 10 The people of Firon: Will they not guard (against evil)? 11 He replied, "Lord, I am afraid that they will call me a liar. 12 “I feel hesitant, and my tongue does not speak fast, therefore make Haroon also a Noble Messenger.” 13 And they have a charge (of murder) against me. So I fear that they will kill me." 14 He said: 'Never so, go both of you with Our signs; We shall be with you, listening 15 Go to the Pharaoh and tell him: 'We bring a message from the Lord of all the worlds 16 so send forth with us the Children of Israel." 17 [Pharaoh] said, "Did we not raise you among us as a child, and you remained among us for years of your life? 18 Yet you were ungrateful and have done the deed you did' 19 He said: I did it then while I was of those unable to see the right course; 20 Then I fled from you when I feared you, and my Lord bestowed on me wisdom and made me one of the sent ones. 21 Is this then the blessing with which you reproach me, that you have the Children of Israel for worshipers' 22 Pharaoh said: "And what is the 'Lord and Cherisher of the worlds'?" 23 Musa (Moses) said: "Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, if you seek to be convinced with certainty." 24 The Pharaoh said to the people around him, "Did you hear that?" 25 He said: your Lord and the Lord of your ancient fathers. 26 (Pharaoh) said: 'Surely, the Messenger who has been sent to you is mad!' 27 He said: The Lord of the east and the west and what is between them, if you understand. 28 Pharaoh said: "If you take any god other than me, I will certainly make you one of those (who are rotting) in prison." 29 Said Moosa, “Even if I bring to you something clear?” 30 Said he, 'Bring it then, if thou art of the truthful.' 31 (No sooner had he said this than) Moses threw down his rod and behold, it was a veritable serpent, 32 And he drew out his hand, and behold, it was white to all beholders! 33
