۞ By inspiration we told Moses: "Travel by night with my servants; for surely ye shall be pursued." 52 Then Pharaoh sent heralds to the cities (to mobilise troops) 53 "These," they said, "are only a small band, 54 And lo! they are offenders against us. 55 We are warning all of you about them." 56 Thus did We drive them out of their gardens and springs 57 and [deprived them of their erstwhile] station of honour!" 58 Even so. And We caused the Children of Isra'il to inherit them. 59 Then they followed them at the sunrise; 60 And when the two bodies saw each other, the people of Moses said: "We are sure to be overtaken." 61 He said: By no means; surely my Lord is with me: He will show me a way out. 62 Then We revealed unto Musa, saying: smite thou the sea with thy staff. So it became separated, and each part was like unto a cliff mighty. 63 And We caused the pursuers to draw near unto that place: 64 We saved Moses and all the people with him 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 67 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 68
