Say (unto them, O Muhammad): I am only a warner, and there is no Allah save Allah, the One, the Absolute, 65 Lord of the heavens and earth and everything between them, the Almighty, the Most Forgiving." 66 Say, "It is great news 67 [how can] you turn away from it?" 68 [Say, O Muhammad:] "No knowledge would I have had of [what passed among] the host on high when they argued [against the creation of man,] 69 This alone is revealed to me, I am only a clear warner' 70 [For,] lo, thy Sustainer said unto the angels: "Behold, I am about to create a human being out of clay; 71 And when I have made him and have breathed into him of My spirit. Fall down in homage before him." 72 Then the angels bowed themselves all together, 73 Not so lblis. He grew stiffnecked and became of the infidels. 74 He said: O Iblis! what prevented you that you should do obeisance to him whom I created with My two hands? Are you proud or are you of the exalted ones? 75 He said, "I am better than him. You have created me from fire and him out of clay". 76 (Allah) said: "Then get out from here, for verily, you are outcast. 77 My curse will remain upon you till the Day of Judgement!" 78 (Iblis) said: "O my Lord! Give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are raised." 79 He said: Surely you are of the respited ones, 80 Until the day of the time appointed. 81 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "By Your Might, then I will surely mislead them all, 82 "Except Thy Servants amongst them, sincere and purified (by Thy Grace)." 83 Said He, 'This is the truth, and the truth I say; 84 I will fill up Hell with you and every one of them who follows you." 85 Say, [O Muhammad], "I do not ask you for the Qur'an any payment, and I am not of the pretentious 86 It is but a reminder to the worlds. 87 and you will most certainly grasp its purport after a lapse of time!" 88
