The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ WHEN WHAT IS to happen comes to pass -- 1 There is about its happening no lie. 2 (Many) will it bring low; (many) will it exalt; 3 When the earth is shaken with convulsion 4 And the mountains are broken down, crumbling 5 Turned to dust, floating in the air, 6 you shall be divided into three parties, 7 The People on the Right: and how fortunate will be the People on the Right! 8 And the Companions of the Left Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Left Hand? 9 And the Outstrippers, the Outstrippers 10 These will be those Nearest to Allah: 11 They will dwell in the Gardens of Bliss: 12 (a throng of the ancients 13 but only a few from the later generations. 14 on lavish couches 15 reclining upon them, set face to face, 16 they will be waited on by ageless youths 17 Cups and decanters, beakers full of sparkling wine, 18 Wherefrom they get no aching of the head nor any madness, 19 And fruits that they may like. 20 And the flesh of fowls that they desire. 21 And (there are) fair ones with wide, lovely eyes, 22 The likenesses of pearls well-protected, 23 Reward for what they used to do. 24 They will not hear therein ill speech or commission of sin - 25 All talk will be sound and upright. 26 The Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 27 mid thornless lote-trees 28 And plantains laden with fruit. 29 Lengthened shadows, 30 and outpoured waters, 31 And fruits numberless, 32 never-failing and never out of reach. 33 And maidens incomparable. 34 We have created (their Companions) of special creation. 35 and made them virgins, 36 Lovers, friends, 37 for the Companions of the Right 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
