Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]. 2 Does man think We shall not put his bones together? 3 Yes. [We are] Able [even] to proportion his fingertips. 4 Yet man wants to deny what is ahead of him: 5 He asketh: When will be this Day of Resurrection? 6 When, then, the sight shall be confounded. 7 And the moon will be eclipsed, 8 And sun and moon are united, 9 on that Day the human will ask: 'To (which place) shall I flee' 10 No! There is no refuge! 11 on that Day, to your Lord alone is the recourse. 12 That Day will Man be told (all) that he put forward, and all that he put back. 13 Nay! Man will be a witness against himself [as his body parts (skin, hands, legs, etc.) will speak about his deeds]. 14 even though he offer his excuses. 15 Do not move your tongue with it (the Revelation) to hasten it. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to promulgate it: 17 So, when We recite it, follow thou its recitation. 18 and then, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 Human beings certainly do not want to pay much attention to the Quran. In fact, they love the worldly life 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 Some faces that Day shall be Nadirah (shining and radiant). 22 Waiting for their Lord. 23 And that day will other faces be despondent, 24 so they might think the Calamity had been inflicted upon them. 25 No! When the soul has reached the collar bones 26 And men say: Where is the wizard (who can save him now)? 27 And he will conclude that it was (the Time) of Parting; 28 When legs are twisted around each other, 29 Unto thy Lord that day will be the driving. 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
