The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By [the winds] that pluck out vehemently 1 and move [in their orbits] with steady motion, 2 and float [through space] with floating serene, 3 Then outpace the others swiftly 4 and by those who regulate events. 5 The Day when the quaking will cause a violent convulsion, 6 And the following event will come after it. 7 hearts will be throbbing, 8 Unable to lift their gaze. 9 They say: Shall we indeed be restored to (our) first state? 10 “When we have become decayed bones?” 11 They say, "That, then, would be a losing return." 12 It will be only one scaring shout, 13 to bring them out of their graves and back to life on the earth's surface. 14 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa! 15 When his Lord called upon him in the holy valley, twice, 16 That “Go to Firaun – he has rebelled.” 17 And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", 18 "'And that I guide thee to thy Lord, so thou shouldst fear Him?'" 19 Moses showed him the great miracle 20 In response, he denied and disobeyed. 21 and hastily turned away, 22 Then he gathered his people and cried aloud, 23 And then said, “I am your most supreme lord.” 24 Thereupon Allah seized him for the chastisement of the World to Come as well as of the present. 25 Lo! herein is indeed a lesson for him who feareth. 26
