By the sun and its noon-time brightness, 1 And by the moon as it follows it (the sun); 2 And [by] the day when it displays it 3 by the night when it covers the earth with darkness, 4 And the heaven and Him Who built it, 5 The earth and its spreading out, 6 and by the soul and by Him Who perfectly proportioned it, 7 Then He showed him what is wrong for him and what is right for him; 8 He who purifies it will prosper, 9 and failed is he who buried it! 10 The Thamud denied (the truth) in their perverseness 11 When the basest of them broke forth 12 So Allah's apostle said to them (Leave alone) Allah's she-camel, and (give) her (to) drink. 13 But they denied him, and they hamstrung her, so Allah doomed them for their sin and rased (their dwellings). 14 And He does not fear its coming behind (to take vengeance). 15
