Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

By the morning brightness 1 And by oath of the night when it covers, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 and the Last shall be better for thee than the First. 4 And presently thy Lord shall give unto thee so that thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)? 7 Did He not find you in want, and make you free from want? 8 Do not oppress the orphans 9 Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard); 10 But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
