The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)
8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
When the earth is shaken by a terrible quake 1 And the earth bringeth forth her burthens, 2 And man says, “What has happened to it?” 3 upon that day she shall tell her tidings 4 Because thy Lord will inspire her. 5 On that Day people will go forth in varying states so that they be shown their deeds. 6 So whosoever does good equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it. 7 And whosoever has done even an atom's weight of evil will behold that. 8
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
