Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), 1 Till you reach the grave. 2 Yes certainly, you will soon realise! 3 Again lo! presently ye shall know. 4 You will certainly have the knowledge of your deeds beyond all doubt. 5 Indeed you will see hell. 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the sight of certainty. 7 Then on that Day you shall be questioned about your worldly favours. 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
