So We saved the children of Israel from degrading suffering 30 From Fir'awn; verily he was haughty and of the extravagant. 31 And assuredly We elected them with knowledge above the worlds. 32 And granted them Signs in which there was a manifest trial 33 Verily, these (Quraish) people are saying: 34 there is nothing beyond our first death; we shall not be raised again. 35 Then bring [back] our forefathers, if you should be truthful." 36 Are they better than the people of Tubba, and those who had lived before them, whom We destroyed as they were sinners? 37 We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, merely in (idle) sport: 38 We did not create them save with a purpose, yet most people have no knowledge of this. 39 Verily, the Day of Judgement (when Allah will judge between the creatures) is the time appointed for all of them, 40 the day a master shall avail nothing a client, and they shall not be helped, 41 except for those to whom God grants mercy. He is Majestic and All-merciful. 42
