Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 the living and the dead? 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 as black camels. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
