Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 who know what you do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
