Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

By oath of the late morning, 1 And the night when it covers with darkness. 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 and the Last shall be better for thee than the First. 4 Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan, and shelter thee? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient. 8 Wherefore as to the orphan, be thou not unto him overbearing. 9 nor drive away the one who asks. 10 And as to the favour of thine Lord, discourse thou thereof. 11

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
