In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Read! In the name of your Lord, who created: 1 created Man of a blood-clot. 2 Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous, 3 who taught by the pen, 4 Has taught man that which he knew not. 5 Nay! man is most surely inordinate, 6 that he sees himself sufficed. 7 Surely your returning is to your Lord. 8 Seest thou one who forbids- 9 a servant when he prays -- 10 Have you seen if he is upon guidance 11 Or enjoins Righteousness? 12 Do you see how he has denied the truth and turned away from it? 13 Did he not realise that Allah is watching? 14 Let him beware! If he does not desist, We will drag him by the forelock -- 15 A lying, sinful forelock! 16 Then let him call his associates; 17 We will call the guards of Hell (to deal with him)! 18 No, indeed; do not obey him! Prostrate and come nearer (to Allah). ۩ 19
