The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Blissful are the believers 1 Those who humble themselves in their prayers; 2 who avoid whatever is vain and frivolous; 3 Who strive for betterment; 4 who guard their privates, 5 Except from their wives and women slaves of old are free of blame, 6 whereas such as seek to go beyond that [limit] are truly transgressors; 7 Those who faithfully observe their trusts and their covenants; 8 And they who carefully maintain their prayers - 9 Those are the inheritors 10 Who will inherit paradise. There they will abide. 11 NOW, INDEED, We create man out of the essence of clay, 12 and then We cause him to remain as a drop of sperm in [the wombs] firm keeping, 13 then We made this drop into a clot, then We made the clot into a lump, then We made the lump into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We caused it to grow into another creation. Thus Most Blessed is Allah, the Best of all those that create. 14 After that you shall surely die, 15 Then you will be raised up again on the Resurrection Day. 16 And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation. 17 And we send down from the sky water in measure, and We give it lodging in the earth, and lo! We are Able to withdraw it. 18 So with it We produced gardens of date-palms and grapes for you, in which is abundant fruit for you and you eat therefrom. 19 And a tree that grows out of Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat. 20 And in cattle (too) ye have an instructive example: from within their bodies We produce (milk) for you to drink; there are, in them, (besides), numerous (other) benefits for you; and of their (meat) ye eat; 21 and by them - as by the ships [over the sea] - you are borne [overland]. 22
