Dawn (Al-Fajr)
30 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Night (Al-Layl) before The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the dawn 1 And ten nights, 2 The multiple and the one, 3 And the night when it departs. 4 Indeed in that there is an oath for a man of sense. 5 Seest thou not how thy Lord dealt with the 'Ad (people),- 6 [the people of] Iram the many-pillared, 7 The like of which was not created in the lands; 8 And [with] Thamud, who carved out the rocks in the valley? 9 And (with) Firon, the lord of hosts, 10 All of them committed excesses in their lands, 11 And multiplied therein corruption. 12 (Therefore) your Lord let loose upon them a scourge of punishment; 13 For thy Lord is (as a Guardian) on a watch-tower. 14 So man, whenever his Lord tests him by giving him honour and favours thereupon he says, “My Lord has honoured me.” 15 But when he tries him and stints for him his provision, then he says, 'My Lord has despised me.' 16 Nay, but ye (for your part) honour not the orphan 17 Nor do you urge one another to feed the poor, 18 and you devour the inheritance [of others] with devouring greed, 19 And love wealth with all your heart. 20 No! When the earth has been leveled - pounded and crushed - 21 And when the command of your Lord comes and the angels row by row, 22 and when Hell is brought near that Day. On that Day will man understand, but of what avail will that understanding be? 23 He will say: 'Would that I had forwarded (good works) for my life!' 24 So on that day, no one punishes like He does! 25 And none will bind as He will bind. 26 (It will be said to the pious): "O (you) the one in (complete) rest and satisfaction! 27 "Come back to your Lord, Well-pleased (yourself) and well-pleasing unto Him! 28 And enter among My [righteous] servants 29 yea, enter thou My paradise!" 30
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
