Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 until an appointed time? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
