The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sunlight is rolled up. 1 And when the stars fall, dispersing, 2 and when the mountains are made to vanish, 3 the young barren camels are abandoned, 4 When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); 5 And when the seas are filled with flame 6 when the souls are coupled (to their body), 7 and when the girl-child buried alive shall be asked: 8 for what sin she was killed, 9 when the scrolls are unrolled, 10 The curtain drawn back from the skies, 11 and when Hell is set ablaze, 12 when Paradise shall be brought nigh, 13 (Then) every soul will know what it hath made ready. 14 So by oath of those that revolve. (The planets.) 15 And by the planets that move swiftly and hide themselves, 16 And the Night as it dissipates; 17 and the morning when it extends, 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 with strength endowed, secure with Him who in almightiness is enthroned 20 Obeyed and worthy there of trust. 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 And indeed he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] in the clear horizon (towards the east). 23 He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. 24 And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens]. 25 Where then will you go? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 However, you will not be able to choose anything unless God, Lord of the Universe wills it to be so. 29
