(Moses) said: My Lord! relieve my mind 25 "Ease my task for me; 26 And loose a knot from my tongue, 27 That they may understand my saying. 28 Appoint for me a minister from my family 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Increase through him my strength 31 "And make him share my task: 32 "That we may celebrate Thy praise without stint, 33 and remember you often. 34 Lo! Thou art ever Seeing us. 35 The Lord said, "Moses, your request is granted. 36 We had already shown you favor 37 When we inspired in thy mother that which is inspired, 38 'Put the baby into a chest and then throw him in the river. The river will throw him up on the shore, and then an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his will take him.' And I spread My love over you in order that you might be reared in My sight. 39 when thy sister went out, saying, "Shall I point you to one to have charge of him?" So We returned thee to thy mother that she might rejoice, and not sorrow. Then thou slewest; a living soul, and We delivered thee out of grief, and We tried thee with many trials. Many years among the people of Midian thou didst sojourn, then camest hither, Moses, according to a decree. 40 And I have attached thee to Myself. 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs, and do not be remiss in remembering Me. 42 Go both to Firon, surely he has become inordinate; 43 Speak to him gently. He may possibly take heed or may come to have fear." 44 They said: Our Lord! Lo! we fear that he may be beforehand with us or that he may play the tyrant. 45 God said, "Do not fear; I am with you both. I hear and I see. 46 So go to him and say: 'The two of us have indeed been sent by your Lord. So let the children of Israel come with us, and do not oppress them. We have come to you with a token from your Lord. Peace on him who follows the way of guidance. 47 ‘It has indeed been revealed to us that the punishment is upon the one who denies and turns away.’” 48 Pharaoh said, "Who then is the Lord of you both, Moses?" 49 (Moses) said: "Our Lord is He who gave everything its natural form and directed it." 50 He said: then what happened to the former generations? 51 (Moses) replied: "Knowledge of that is with my Lord (recorded) in the Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 It is God who has made the earth as a cradle for you with roads for you to travel. He has sent water from the sky to produce various pairs of plants. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle; most surely there are signs in this for those endowed with understanding. 54
