۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 Then Fir'awn sent unto the cities callers: 53 They announced “These people are a small group.” 54 who have enraged us greatly. 55 But we are a fully accounted army." 56 So We made them leave the gardens and springs of water, 57 their treasures and their noble dwellings -- 58 Thus it was; and We made the children of Israel possess them. 59 So they pursued them at sunrise. 60 And when the two hosts came in view of each other, Moses' companions said: 'We have been reached' 61 Said Moosa, “Never! Indeed my Lord is with me, He will now show me the way.” 62 Then We told Moses by inspiration: "Strike the sea with thy rod." So it divided, and each separate part became like the huge, firm mass of a mountain. 63 And We brought near, there, the others. 64 We delivered Moses and all those who were with him, 65 then We drowned the others. 66 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 67 Surely, your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 68
