And this (Qur'an) is a revelation from the Lord of all the worlds, 192 With it came down the spirit of Faith and Truth- 193 To thy heart and mind, that thou mayest admonish. 194 In a clear Arabic language. 195 Truly, it is in the Books of the ancients. 196 Is not the fact (that the Israelite scholars already knew about the Quran through their Book) sufficient evidence for the pagans of the truthfulness (of the Quran)? 197 And if We had revealed it unto one of any other nation than the Arabs, 198 and had he recited it unto them [in his own tongue,] they would not have believed in it. 199 Even so, We have caused it to enter into the hearts of harmdoers: 200 They will not believe in it to the extent that they see the painful punishment. 201 so that it will come upon them suddenly, while they are not aware, 202 They will say, "Can we be granted any respite?" 203 What, do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 204 Seest thou? If We do let them enjoy (this life) for a few years, 205 Yet there comes to them at length the (Punishment) which they were promised! 206 That which they were made to enjoy shall not avail them? 207 And We destroyed not a city but it had its warners. 208 By way of reminder, and We have never been unjust. 209 No evil ones have brought down this (Revelation): 210 it is not for them, nor are they able. 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 So call thou not upon another god with God, lest thou shouldst be one of those that are chastised. 213 And warn thy tribe of near kindred, 214 And be kind and humble to the believers who follow you. 215 Then if they disobey thee, say: "I am free (of responsibility) for what ye do!" 216 And put your trust in Him Who is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate, 217 who sees you when you stand 218 And watches your movements among those who prostrate in prayer. 219 Surely, He is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I declare unto you upon whom the satans descend! 221 They descend on every forgerer steeped in sin, 222 They listen eagerly, but most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets - it is the seduced who follow them. 224 Seest thou not that they wander distracted in every valley?- 225 And that they say what they do not do. 226 Except those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds, and remember Allah much, and reply back (in poetry) to the unjust poetry (which the pagan poets utter against the Muslims). And those who do wrong will come to know by what overturning they will be overturned. 227
