Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
