The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
When the sun is wound up; 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 And when the mountains shall made to pass away; 3 And when the camels big with young are abandoned, 4 And when the wild beasts are gathered 5 And when the seas shall be filled, 6 And when the souls shall be joined with their bodies; 7 and when the girl-child buried alive shall be asked: 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 And when the Writs shall be lain open, 10 when heaven is stripped, 11 when Hell shall be set blazing, 12 And when the garden is brought nigh, 13 (Then) every person will know what he has brought (of good and evil). 14 So I swear by the retreating stars - 15 stars which are visible during the night 16 and the night as it darkly falls, 17 The rising dawn, 18 That this is indeed the word of an honoured Messenger, 19 Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 who is obeyed there and is worthy of trust. 21 Nor is your companion distracted. 22 in truth he saw him (Gabriel) on the clear horizon, 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 Nor is this the word of a stoned satan. 25 So where are you going? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 to everyone of you who wills to walk a straight way. 28 But you cannot will it unless God, the Sustainer of all the worlds, wills [to show you that way]. 29
God the Almighty always says the truth.
