The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the sky containing great stars 1 and [then bethink thyself of] the promised Day, 2 and by the witness (Muhammad) and that which is witnessed (the Day of Judgment), 3 Perish the fellows of the ditch, 4 The people of the fuelled blazing fire. 5 when they were seated over it 6 witnessing what they were doing. 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is of all things the Witness. 9 Surely for those who persecute believers, men and women, and do not repent afterwards, is the punishment of Hell, and the punishment of burning. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 Stern indeed is your Lord's punishment. 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 Honorable Owner of the Throne, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Has the story reached thee, of the forces- 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 Nay, but those who disbelieve live in denial 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 Inscribed in a tablet preserved. 22

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
