Say thou: I am but warner, and there is no god but Allah, the One, the Subduer. 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Mighty, the Pardoning. 66 Say: 'This is a mighty message 67 (And) you are turning aside from it: 68 “What did I know of the heavenly world, when the angels had disputed.” 69 had it not been revealed unto me [by God] - to no other end than that I might convey [unto you] a plain warning. 70 When thy Lord said to the angels, 'See, I am creating a mortal of a clay. 71 "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him." 72 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them: 73 But not Iblis: he was proud and he was one of the unbelievers. 74 Said He, 'Iblis, what prevented thee to bow thyself before that I created with My own hands? Hast thou waxed proud, or art thou of the lofty ones?' 75 (Iblis) said: "I am better than he: thou createdst me from fire, and him thou createdst from clay." 76 The Lord said, "Get out of here. You deserve to be stoned! 77 and My rejection shall be thy due until the Day of Judgment!" 78 (Iblis) said: "O my Lord! Give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are raised." 79 so He said, "You are granted respite 80 "Till the Day of the Time Appointed." 81 (Iblis) said: "Then, by Thy power, I will put them all in the wrong, 82 except those among them who are Your sincere worshipers' 83 He (Allah) said: 'This is the truth, and I speak the truth: 84 That I shall fill hell with thee and with such of them as follow thee, together. 85 Say, "I do not ask you for any recompense for this, nor am I a man of false pretentions: 86 this is simply an admonition to mankind, 87 "And you shall certainly know the truth of it after a while. 88
