Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Qaf: By the Glorious Qur'an (Thou art Allah's Messenger). 1 Nay, but they marvel that a warner of their own hath come unto them; and the disbelievers say: This is a strange thing: 2 When we are dead and turned to dust, this returning (to life) is most far-fetched." 3 We know that which the earth taketh of them, and with Us is a recording Book. 4 Nay, but they have denied the truth when it came unto them, therefor they are now in troubled case. 5 Have they not observed the sky above them and marked how We have built it and adorned it, leaving no flaws in it; 6 And (how) We have spread the earth, and placed mountains as anchors in it, and have grown all kinds of beautiful pairs in it? 7 as a lesson and reminder for every human being who turns to God; 8 And We send down from the sky blessed water whereby We give growth unto gardens and the grain of crops, 9 and tall palmtrees with compact spathes 10 A provision for (Allah's) slaves. And We give life therewith to a dead land. Thus will be the resurrection (of the dead). 11 Before these, the people of Nooh had denied, and so did the dwellers of Rass and the Thamud. 12 The 'Ad, Pharaoh, the brethren of Lut, 13 The Companions of the Wood, and the People of Tubba'; each one (of them) rejected the messengers, and My warning was duly fulfilled (in them). 14 Were We then weary with the first Creation, that they should be in confused doubt about a new Creation? 15
