Seest thou one who turns back, 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 And that for man shall be naught save that wherefor he endeavoureth. 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 It is He who causes laughter and weeping. 43 And He who ordains death and life; 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 and that it is He alone who frees from want and causes to possess; 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 He plunged the villages 53 and covered them with torment. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 none except Allah can disclose it. 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 And laugh and not weep, 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62
