Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]. 2 Does man imagine that We will not be able to bring his bones together again? 3 Indeed yes, We are able to shape his fingerstips yet again! 4 But man wishes to do wrong (even) in the time in front of him. 5 'When will the Day of Resurrection be' he asks, 6 So when the eyes will be blinded by light. 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 And the sun and moon are conjoined, 9 on that Day will man say: “Whither the refuge?” 10 No, there shall be no (place of) refuge. 11 On that day, the station is only towards your Lord. 12 On that Day the human shall be informed of his former and latter deeds. 13 Nay, man will be evidence against himself, 14 even though he may veil himself in excuses. 15 [Prophet], do not move your tongue too fast in your attempt to learn this revelation: 16 for, behold, it is for Us to gather it [in thy heart,] and to cause it to be read [as it ought to be read]. 17 And when We have recited it to you [O Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel)], then follow you its (the Quran's) recital. 18 It's explanation is upon Us. 19 NAY, but [most of] you love this fleeting life, 20 and leave be the Hereafter. 21 Some faces will be radiant on that Day, 22 and look forward to receiving mercy from their Lord. 23 And on that day some faces will be ghastly. 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 But when [man's soul] reaches the throat, 26 And it is said, "Who will cure [him]?" 27 And the dying one is certain that it is the [time of] separation 28 and calf is inter-twined with calf. 29 upon that day unto thy Lord shall be the driving. 30
