The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 And what could make thee conceive what it is that comes in the night? 2 (It is) the star of piercing brightness; 3 There is no human being but has a protector over him (or her) (i.e. angels incharge of each human being guarding him, writing his good and bad deeds, etc.) 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 He was created of spurting water 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 On a Day whereon secrets shall be out. 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 And the earth which splits (with the growth of trees and plants), 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 and it is certainly not a jest. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 But I too am devising a plan. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
