The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Successful indeed are the believers, 1 They who are during their prayer humbly submissive 2 And those who from everything vain turn away. 3 pay their religious tax 4 And who guard their private parts, 5 save from their wives, or those whom their right hands possess; for with regard to them they are free from blame " 6 But whoso craveth beyond that, such are transgressors - 7 those who are faithful to their trusts and promises; 8 And who pay heed to their prayers. 9 These are the real gainers, 10 Who will inherit Paradise, and live in it for ever. 11 And indeed We created man (Adam) out of an extract of clay (water and earth). 12 then We made him, a drop, in a secure receptacle (the womb). 13 then We made this drop into a clot, then We made the clot into a lump, then We made the lump into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We caused it to grow into another creation. Thus Most Blessed is Allah, the Best of all those that create. 14 Then after that you shall surely die, 15 Then (again), surely, you will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And We created above you seven ways, and We were not heedless of creation. 17 And we send down from the sky water in measure, and We give it lodging in the earth, and lo! We are Able to withdraw it. 18 With it We grow for you gardens of date-palms and vines: in them have ye abundant fruits: and of them ye eat (and have enjoyment),- 19 And also a tree that springeth forth from mount Sinai, that groweth oil and is a sauce for the eaters. 20 And indeed in the cattle is a lesson for you; We give you to drink what is in their bellies, and there are many benefits for you in them, and in them is your food. 21 and by them - as by the ships [over the sea] - you are borne [overland]. 22
