Have you not seen how your Lord lengthens the shadows? Had He pleased, He could have made them constant; then We placed the sun as an indicator for them, 45 We then gradually withdraw it towards Us. 46 And He it is Who made the night a covering for you, and the sleep a rest, and He made the day to rise up again. 47 It is He who loosens the winds, bearing glad tidings before the Hands of His Mercy, and We have sent down pure water from the heaven, 48 so, that with it We revive dead lands and provide drink for the cattle and the human We created. 49 And We have certainly distributed it among them that they might be reminded, but most of the people refuse except disbelief. 50 If We had willed, We would have raised up in every city a warner. 51 So do not listen to the disbelievers and, with this Qur’an, fight a great war against them. 52 ۞ And it is He who has released [simultaneously] the two seas, one fresh and sweet and one salty and bitter, and He placed between them a barrier and prohibiting partition. 53 And it is He who created of water a mortal, and made him kindred of blood and marriage; thy Lord is All-powerful. 54 They worship besides God things that can neither benefit nor harm them. The unbelievers are defiant against their Lord. 55 Yet We have not sent you but to give good tidings and to warn. 56 Tell them, "I do not ask of you any recompense for this work: I only ask of the one, who will, to adopt the way of his Lord. 57 Also trust in the Living One who never dies and glorify Him with His praise. He has sufficient knowledge of the sins of His servants. 58 Who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six Days. Then He Istawa (rose over) the Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). The Most Beneficent (Allah)! Ask Him (O Prophet Muhammad SAW), (concerning His Qualities, His rising over His Throne, His creations, etc.), as He is Al-Khabir (The All-Knower of everything i.e. Allah). 59 And when it is said to them, "Prostrate to the Most Merciful," they say, "And what is the Most Merciful? Should we prostrate to that which you order us?" And it increases them in aversion. ۩ 60
