And make mention (O Muhammad) of Our bondman Job, when he cried unto his Lord (saying): Lo! the devil doth afflict me with distress and torment. 41 Stamp the ground with thy foot, yonder is water to wash in, cool, and water to drink. 42 And We gave to him his family, and the like of them with them, as a mercy from us, and a reminder unto men possessed of minds; 43 "And take in thy hand a little grass, and strike therewith: and break not (thy oath)." Truly We found him full of patience and constancy. How excellent in Our service! ever did he turn (to Us)! 44 And make mention of Our bondmen, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, men of parts and vision. 45 Verily We exalted them in consideration of a sterling quality: their remembrance of the Abode of the Hereafter. 46 And behold, in Our sight they were indeed among the elect, the truly good! 47 And remember Isma'il and Al-Yas'a and Zul-kifl; all of the excellent ones. 48 This is a reminder. And lo! for those who ward off (evil) is a happy journey's end, 49 #NAME? 50 Therein will they recline (at ease): Therein can they call (at pleasure) for fruit in abundance, and (delicious) drink; 51 ۞ And with them will be maidens of equal age with modest gaze. 52 This is what you are promised for the day of reckoning. 53 Indeed, this is Our provision; for it there is no depletion. 54 All this [for the righteous]: but, verily, the most evil of all goals awaits those who are wont to transgress the bounds of what is right: 55 They shall roast in (the Fire) of Gehenna, an evil cradling. 56 This - let them taste it: scalding water and corruption. 57 and other similar to it, joined together. 58 This is an army plunging in without consideration along with you; no welcome for them, surely they shall enter fire. 59 They will say to them, "You are not welcome! It was you who brought this on us, an evil place to stay," 60 They will say: "O Lord, give him who has brought this upon us two times more the torment of Hell;" 61 And they shall say: What is the matter with us that we do not see men whom we used to count among the vicious? 62 Have we taken them in mockery? Or, have our eyes swerved from them?' 63 This contending of the inmates of Hell will surely be real. 64
