Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of those which carry away while dispersing. 1 then the bearers of weight (the clouds), 2 And the ships that glide with ease. 3 And those who distribute (it) by command, 4 What you are threatened with is most surely true, 5 and the Day of Judgment will inevitably take place. 6 by the heaven full of tracks, 7 Indeed, you are in differing speech. 8 Only those who are destined to revert, are reverted from it. 9 They but destroy themselves, they who are given to guessing at what they cannot ascertain 10 Who are lost in deception. 11 They ask: When is the day of judgment? 12 (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (and tested) over the Fire! 13 "Taste you your trial (burning)! This is what you used to ask to be hastened!" 14 Verily the God-fearing will be amid Gardens and water-springs. 15 Taking what their Lord gives them; surely they were before that, the doers of good. 16 Little of the night would they slumber, 17 And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness, 18 And in their substance was the right of the beggar and non-beggar. 19 And on the earth there are signs for those who would be convinced. 20 there are signs for firm believers. Do you not see then? 21 And in heaven is your Sustenance, as (also) that which ye are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is certainly the truth. It is as true as your ability to speak. 23
