The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Highest, 1 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; 2 Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance; 3 who brings forth the pastures, 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 We shall make all your tasks easy. 8 Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. 9 Admonished is he indeed who feareth, 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 even he who shall roast in the Great Fire, 12 In which they will then neither die nor live. 13 Indeed successful is the one who became pure. 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
