The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 then raise sparks of fire (by their hoofs), 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn 3 And therein raising dust. 4 and penetrate deep into a host. 5 Verily man is most ungrateful to his Lord; 6 He himself bears witness to that. 7 And verily in the love of wealth he is vehement, 8 ۞ Knoweth he not - when that which is in the graves shall be ransacked? 9 And what is in the breasts is made apparent? 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11
