And the chiefs of his people who disbelieved and called the meeting of the hereafter a lie, and whom We had given plenty to enjoy in this world's life, said: This is nothing but a mortal like yourselves, eating of what you eat from and drinking of what you drink. 33 If you follow a mortal like yourselves you will certainly be lost. 34 “Does he promise you that when you die and turn into dust and bones, you will be raised again?” 35 ۞ How far-fetched what you are promised; 36 "There is nothing but our life of this world! We die and we live! And we are not going to be resurrected! 37 He is only a man who invents lies against God, so have no faith in him". 38 He said, 'O my Lord, help me, for that they cry me lies.' 39 (Allah) said: "In a little while, they are sure to be regretful." 40 And then the blast [of Our punishment] overtook them, justly and unavoidably, and We caused them to become as the flotsam of dead leaves and the scum borne on the surface of a torrent: and so - away with those evildoing folk! 41 Then after them, We created other generations. 42 No nation will precede its time [of termination], nor will they remain [thereafter]. 43 Then We sent Our Messengers in succession, every time there came to a nation their Messenger, they denied him, so We made them follow one another (to destruction), and We made them as Ahadith (the true stories for mankind to learn a lesson from them). So away with a people who believe not. 44 Thereafter We sent Musa and his brother Harun with Our signs and an authority manifest. 45 to the Pharaoh and his nobles. But they behaved proudly and thought themselves superior people. 46 And said: "Should we believe in two men like yourselves, whose people are our subjects?" 47 So they cried them lies, and they were among the destroyed. 48 We gave Moses the Book so that they might be guided. 49 And We made the son of Marium and his mother a sign, and We gave them a shelter on a lofty ground having meadows and springs. 50
