The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Recite: In the Name of thy Lord who created, 1 Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood: 2 Read, for your Lord is most beneficent, 3 who taught by the pen, 4 He taught the human being what he did not know. 5 Nay! man is most surely inordinate, 6 that he sees himself sufficed. 7 truly, all will return to your Lord. 8 What thinkest thou? He who forbids 9 A slave (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) when he prays? 10 Have you considered if he were on the right way, 11 or orders piety? 12 Seest thou if he denies (Truth) and turns away? 13 Does he not know that Allah does see? 14 Nay! if he desist not, We would certainly smite his forehead, 15 A forelock that lies, is sinful. 16 So let him call his associates, 17 We shall call the guards of Hell. 18 Yes indeed; do not listen to him – and prostrate, and become close to Us. (Command of Prostration # 14) ۩ 19
