"Truly! The Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2) will be amidst Gardens and water-springs (Paradise). 45 'Enter you them, in peace and security!' 46 And We have removed any resentments which were in their breasts – they are brothers, sitting face to face on thrones. 47 Toil cometh not unto them there, nor will they be expelled from thence. 48 ۞ Tell My servants that I alone am the Forgiving, the Merciful One, 49 At the same time, My chastisement is highly painful. 50 And tell them about the guests (the angels) of Ibrahim (Abraham). 51 [how,] when they presented themselves before him and bade him peace, he answered: "Behold, we are afraid of you!" 52 They said: "Fear not! We give thee glad tidings of a son endowed with wisdom." 53 Said he: "Do you give me this glad tiding despite the fact that old age has overtaken me? Of what [strange thing,] then, are you giving me a tiding!" 54 They said: "We give thee glad tidings in truth: be not then in despair!" 55 Abraham said: "Who despairs of the Mercy of his Lord except the misguided?" 56 Then he asked, "What then is your business, O messengers?" 57 They said, "We are sent to a sinful people. 58 Only the family of Lot will all be saved, 59 except his wife. We have decreed that she will be among those who remain behind [and will be lost]. 60
