Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 excusing or warning, 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
