Surely We created man of a clay of mud moulded, 26 And the jinn We created before from scorching fire. 27 Your Lord said to the angels, "I am about to bring into being a man wrought from mud. 28 “Therefore when I have properly fashioned him and breathed into him a chosen noble soul from Myself, fall down before him in prostration.” 29 So the angels fell prostrate, all of them together 30 Except Iblis. He refused to bow with the adorers. 31 [Allah] said, O Iblees, what is [the matter] with you that you are not with those who prostrate?" 32 He replied, "I am not one to prostrate myself to a man whom You have created out of a clay of moulded mud." 33 God said, "Then get out of here; for you are accursed, 34 "And verily, the curse shall be upon you till the Day of Recompense (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)." 35 He said: my Lord! respite me then till the Day whereon they will be raised up. 36 The Lord said, "Your request is granted 37 Till the Day of appointed time. 38 He said, “My Lord! I swear by the fact that You sent me astray, I shall distract them in the earth, and I shall lead all of them astray.” 39 Save such of them as are Thy perfectly devoted slaves. 40 He said: This is a right way with Me: 41 Surely, as regards My servants, you have no authority, over them except those who follow you of the deviators. 42 "And surely, Hell is the promised place for them all. 43 It has seven gates; for every gate is of them a portion designated." 44

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
