'Aad denied the messengers 123 Behold, their brother Hud said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 125 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 126 And I ask of you no wage therefor; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 127 Build ye on every eminence a landmark in vanity? 128 and make for yourselves mighty castles, [hoping] that you might become immortal? 129 And will you [always,] whenever you lay hand [on others,] lay hand [on them] cruelly, without any restraint? 130 So be fearful of God and follow me. 131 Fear Him who has given you all the things you know. 132 “He aided you with cattle and sons.” 133 “And with gardens and water-springs.” 134 'Indeed, I fear for you the chastisement of a dreadful day.' 135 They replied: 'It is the same to us whether you admonish or whether you are not one of the admonishers. 136 your preaching is nothing but ancient legends and we shall not face any torment". 137 We are not going to be damned." 138 Then they accused him of lies; so We annihilated them. Verily there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 139 Verily your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 140
