Hast thou considered him who turns his back 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 And that He createth the two spouses, the male and the female, 45 From a drop of liquid, when it is added? 46 and that He will bring about the Second Creation; 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 and that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 Thamud, 51 And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors, 52 And the overturned towns He hurled down 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 Then which of the gifts of thy Lord, (O man,) wilt thou dispute about? 55 This is a warning among the warnings of yore. 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 And laugh and not weep? 60 And you are lost in play! 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
