And (remember) when your Lord said to Moosa, “Go to the unjust people.” 10 “The nation of Firaun; will they not fear?” 11 He said, “My Lord, I fear that they will deny me.” 12 and my breast will be straitened, and my tongue will not be loosed; so send to Aaron. 13 They hold a sin against me, and I fear that they will kill me' 14 Said He, 'No indeed; but go, both of you, with Our signs, and We assuredly shall be with you, listening. 15 Go to Pharaoh, both of you, and say, 'We are messengers from the Lord of the Worlds: 16 [Commanded to say], "Send with us the Children of Israel."'" 17 Said Firaun, “Did we do not raise you amongst us, as a child? And you spent many years of your life among us!” 18 And you commited what you did, and you are ungrateful!" 19 Replied [Moses]: "I committed it while I was still going astray; 20 Then I fled from you when I feared you, and my Lord vouchsafed me a command and appointed me (of the number) of those sent (by Him). 21 Now this is the favour that you tauntingly remind me of: that you enslaved the Children of Israel!" 22 Said Pharaoh, "And what is the Lord of the worlds?" 23 (Moses) said: "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, if you can believe." 24 Pharaoh said to those around him, "Did you hear?" 25 He said, 'Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients.' 26 [Pharaoh] said, "Indeed, your 'messenger' who has been sent to you is mad." 27 He said, “The Lord of the East and the West and all that is between them; if you have sense.” 28 Pharaoh said, "If you put forward any god other than me, I will surely put you in prison". 29 He said: What! even if I bring to you something manifest? 30 Said he: Bring it then, if you are of the truthful ones. 31 Then he flung down his staff and it became a serpent manifest, 32 And he drew out his hand; thereupon it was white for the observers. 33
