And indeed We saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating torment, 30 from Pharaoh; surely he was a high One, of the prodigals; 31 And We knowingly chose them, among all others of their time. 32 And gave signs to them in which there was a clear trial. 33 Indeed, these [disbelievers] are saying, 34 "There is nothing beyond our first death, and we shall not be raised again. 35 Then bring [back] our forefathers, if you should be truthful." 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those who were before them whom We destroyed? Indeed they were sinners. 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is in-between the twain sporting. 38 We created them not save with truth; but most of them know not. 39 The Day of Decision is the appointed time for all. 40 The Day when Maulan (a near relative) cannot avail Maulan (a near relative) in aught, and no help can they receive, 41 Except those upon whom Allah has mercy; indeed He only is the Most Honourable, the Most Merciful. 42
