The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who creates [every thing,] and thereupon forms it in accordance with what it is meant to be, 2 decreed their destinies, and provided them with guidance. 3 Who brought forth the pasture, 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 [O Prophet!] We shall make you recite the Quran so that you will not forget any of it -- 6 Save that which Allah may will. Verily He knoweth the public and that which is hidden. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 but the reprobates will turn away 11 who will enter the Great Fire, 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself, 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 and the world to come is better, and more enduring. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
