Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of those which carry away while dispersing. 1 And the clouds bearing a load. 2 And those that glide with ease (upon the sea) 3 And those [angels] apportioning [each] matter, 4 surely what you are being warned against is true, 5 And undoubtedly justice will surely be done. 6 And by oath of the decorated heaven. 7 Verily, [O men,] you are deeply at variance as to what to believe: 8 Turned aside therefrom is who is turned aside. 9 Woe to the liars 10 Who are under a cover of heedlessness (think not about the gravity of the Hereafter), 11 They ask: “When will the Day of Judgement be?” 12 (It is) the day on which they shall be tried at the fire. 13 (And told:) "Taste your punishment. This is what you were trying to hasten." 14 Verily the God-fearing will be amid Gardens and water-springs. 15 Receiving what is given them by their Lord. They were surely the virtuous before this. 16 They slept little in the night, 17 And in the dawns they prayed for forgiveness. 18 And the beggar and the destitute had a share in their wealth. 19 And in the earth there are signs for those who are sure, 20 And also in your own selves. Behold ye not? 21 And in the heaven lies your sustenance, and the promise you are given. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
