Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 Not at all but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you. 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 whereas, behold, the wicked will indeed be in a blazing fire 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: Shattering (Al-Infitaar). Sent down in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
