The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 Except what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden. 7 And We shall make easy unto thee the easy way. 8 Therefore, keep on preaching as long as it is of benefit. 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 but the reprobates will turn away 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays. 15 But you prefer the present life, 16 Though the life to come is better and abiding. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
